Gary Wilson

Gary Wilson, 77 of Sioux Falls, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Gary was born on November 4, 1940 in Clyattville, Georgia, but spent most of his life at Bradenton, Florida. He served in the US Marine Corp for 4 years. Gary worked as a truck driver for many years. He moved to Denver, Colorado where he met his wife, Jen. They moved to Sioux Falls in 2007. Gary spent his time doing many things. He was always ready to go fishing and camping. He could often be found playing pinochle at the Kenny Anderson Community Center with his friends or at home playing Gin with Verna. In the summer, Gary enjoyed being outside doing yard work and was the best dandelion picker in the country. He liked watching western movies and solving crossword puzzles. Gary was helpful at home too, often pulling KP duty. He will be affectionately remembered for being stubborn and ornery. He will be missed by his loving family and friends. Gary is survived by his wife, Jen; Jens mother, Verna Schmitt; and six step-children and their families, Kim Madera, Steven McLoude and Candace Kaul Fett, all of Aurora, CO, Kevin Kaul, Rodney Kaul and Nichole Billbe Ardoin, all of Sioux Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a son.
