Don Hedlund

Retired Colonel Don J Hedlund passed away on this Veterans Day, November 11th, 2016 at the age of 92, with family by his side. He was in the 14th Air Force Signal Corp during World War II for the China-Burma-India Theatre. He continued his service and entered the 114th Air Force Air National Guard Reserves, where he became a Distinguished Colonel. He also was a Regional District Manager for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and a member of the El Raid Shrine. Don married Dorothy J Wahl, April 24, 1944, and they raised three children: Debra J, Duane J and Dan J. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren: Autumn, Dustin, Darren, Danica, and Donae. five great grandchildren: Cara, Desmond, Kambri, Brayden, and Drew. Those that preceded him in death were his wife, Dorothy, and parents, Fred and Gladys.
