Claire Driver

Claire Driver, 74, of Sioux Falls, SD went to heaven Friday, April 24, 2015 at her home. There will be a memorial open house on Sunday at 1512 West 15th Street on Sunday, April 26th from 2-5pm. Claire Louise Driver, daughter of Rex and Shirley (Russell) Bartles, was born August 27th, 1940 in Aberdeen, SD. She grew up in Westport, SD where she graduated from Westport High School in 1958. She entered the US Army in 1958 and was discharged in 1959. She graduated from Southeast Vo-Tech in June of 1988 with a degree in Advertising Design and went on to pursue further Art Education at both Sioux Falls College and Augustana College. She was an artist, a seamstress and an avid gardener until her passing. Claire was passionate about sewing and working with all types of materials. She loved spending time with her family and enjoying nature. Grateful for her life and love are Claire's daughters Gretchen Kay and Trissa Joan and her grandsons, Zachary John D. and Dakota Storm all of Sioux Falls, her sister, Kay Hatfield, and Kay's children and grandchildren; and her best friend, Lorna Kaderabek. She is also survived by her son Dean and his wife, Pat and their children Joshua & AshleyAnn and her daughter Marley. Claire was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Shirley Bartles of Westport, and her sister Karen Taggart of Conifer,Colorado.
