Ruby Tebben

Ruby was born April 28, 1924 at Sioux Falls, the daughter of William and Cora (Clapp) Harmer. She grew up in Sioux Falls. Ruby married Harvey Niewald. They lived in the Hartford area where they farmed for several years and raised four children. Ruby worked John Morrell Company and then at McKennan Hospital for 12 years in the housekeeping department. She was later employed at the Good Samaritan Center in Sioux Falls as a nurses aide for several years. She married Cyril Tebben August 25, 1978. She liked going fishing with Cyril at the Missouri River. They traveled around the country to visit family and friends in Florida and California. She enjoyed visiting Branson, Missouri and going to Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Ruby is survived by three children, Gail (Garold) Peterson, Richard (Julie) Niewald and Sharon Middagh; grandchildren, Staci Chad, Kimberly, Brian, Troy, Scott, Ron and Shannon; great grandchildren, Peyton, Avlon, Regan, April, Steve, Aston and Michael; great-great granddaughter, McKenzie; a sister, Hazel. She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Diana; husband, Cyril; and three siblings, Fern, Irene, and Merle.
