Joan Joyce Van Doren

Joan Joyce Van Doren died July 24, 2013 at the Sanford Hospice Cottage in Sioux Falls from cancer. Joan Joyce Paesl was born October 27, 1933 at Newman Grove, Nebraska to Bertha and Jospeh Paesl. She lived on a farm near Newman Grove and moved to Norfolk, Nebraska in 1948. Joan attended Norfolk Senior High and Technical Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. She married Everett Van Doren in 1954 at St. Johns, Newfoundland. After her divorce, Joan has resided in Sioux Falls, South Dakota since 1975. Grateful for having shared in her life are her daughters, Lanaya Goeden and her husband, Mike, of Minneapolis, MN, Holly Loudon and her husband, Dwight, of Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Elisha Nelson, and Christopher Daum (Lanaya?s children), Douglas Loudon, Daniel Loudon, Dale Loudon, and Drew Loudon (Holly?s children); and a great granddaughter, Raelynn Nelson (Lanaya?s granddaughter). Joan was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marjorie.
