Linda Sorensen

Linda was born in Tyler, MN on March 5, 1949 to Delbert and Velma "Jackie" Foster. She grew up in Sioux Falls and attended Laura B. Anderson Elementary School, Whittier Junior High School, and Washington High School. On December 17, 1971 she was united in marriage to Thomas Sorensen. Linda worked for Covington Heights Health Care Center for almost 20 years. After leaving Covington Heights, Linda worked for Balance Systems Inc. and Aramark. Linda retired in 2005. Linda was 64 years old when she passed away in her home on Monday, July 22, after a short and courageous battle with leukemia. Throughout her life, Linda enjoyed taking long rides in the car, playing games on the internet, reading books and spending time with her family and friends. Grateful for having shared her life are son Jon (Sherry), Sioux Falls; daughter Jackie (Mike) Driscoll, Sioux Falls; Joy (Kevin) Cain, Pearson, GA; a special friend Coleen Wollman, 13 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and her Chihuahua "Baby".
