Olive Marie (Frerichs) Fleming was born March 2, 1922 to her parents, Herman and Lillian (Sundquist) Frerichs. She moved to Sioux Falls with her parents at an early age and received her education, graduating from Washington High School in 1940. She married Michael Fleming in Canistota, South Dakota on Nov. 5, 1946. She was a homemaker and then followed her hobby of sewing and was employed by Brown?s Cleaners, Davis Tailors and Lea?s Alterations. Olive had been a member of Faith Lutheran Church since it opened in 1929. She was an active member of the Goodwill Society. Olive Marie Fleming was 89 years old when she passed away February 4, 2012 at her home in Sioux Falls after a lengthy battle with cancer. She is survived by her children, William (Denise) of St. Cloud, MN, Jacqueline of Kearney, NE, Robert (Patricia) of Parker, SD, Terrence (Lorna) of Crooks, SD; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; numerous extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and a sister.
