Doris Anderson

Doris Viola Anderson died on November 8, 2011 at Good Samaritan Village Hospice. Doris was born February 15, 1918 at Wakonda, South Dakota to Ole and Josephine (Anderson) Knudson. She grew up and attended school at Wakonda, SD. Doris was united in marriage to Howard Anderson at Parker, SD on March 3, 1936. They made their home at Sioux Falls, SD. Doris enjoyed being a wife, and a mother to 10 children. Doris and Howard were Master Directors in the Watkins Corporation and after Howard?s death Doris continued on with the Watkins Corporation up until her retirement three years ago. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and traveling. Doris was a member of East Side Lutheran Church, WELCA, Red Hat Society and Prestige Plus. Grateful for having shared her life are her sons, Darwin (Judy) Anderson, Colorado Springs, CO, Denny Anderson, Sullivans Island, SC, Darrell Anderson, Wickenburg, AZ; her daughters, Linda (Don) Irgens, Punta Gorda, FL, Judy Sona, Punta Gorda, FL. LaVonne (Darrell) Reyelts, Sioux Falls, SD, Darla (Ramiro) Flores, Olmstead Township, OH, Debra Anderson, Sioux Falls, SD, Dodie (Clete) Thill, Lakewood, CO, Donna (Bill) Galbraith, Sioux Falls, SD; 23 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, parents, sisters, Ida, Gladys and Hazel; brother, Clifford and a grandson, Justin J.
