Dolly May Rierson

Dolly May Anderson Rierson died on March 5 with family by her side in Roseville, MN. She was born to John Fingal Anderson and Ellen Amanda Ekstrom Anderson on Aug. 7, 1923. She was born at home at 727 S. Euclid Ave., Sioux Falls, S.D. She attended Emerson grade school and graduated from Washington High School in 1941. Dolly was united in marriage to Edward Vernon Rierson on November 12, 1948. She went to work at John Morrell Co. in 1942, quitting in 1951 to start a family. She returned to Morrell?s full time in 1957, retiring in 1985. She worked for Walmart from 1990 to 2008. She was member of First Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the V.F.W. and the ladies auxiliaries. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters, one brother and one son, Randy. Dolly is survived by a son, Dan and his wife, Cindy, of Roseville, MN, and daughter, Kathy, of Deadwood; 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews and their families, along with many other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
