Sioux Falls

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alonzo "A.J." Jeremy Little, born on July 27, 1985, at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to John David Little and Cheryl Greene Little. A.J. passed away on December 7, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the great outdoors.

A.J. was born into a military family, with his father, David Little, serving in the U.S. Air Force. During his early years, A.J. experienced life in multiple locations, including a formative three-year period in Okinawa, Japan, and later a return to the United States where the family settled in Rapid City, South Dakota, and eventually Sheridan, Wyoming, in 1994. Sheridan became home, and it was here that A.J. cultivated his love for archery, bow hunting, fishing, and all things nature. As a young boy, A.J. was a dedicated volunteer at a local pet store, where he shared his deep affection for animals, owning a variety of pets, including reptiles, rodents, and even a baby caiman.

A.J. attended Sheridan High School, where he continued to pursue his passion for the outdoors and formed lasting friendships. He was the proud father of two daughters, born in 2005 in Sheridan and in 2008 in Sioux City, Iowa, both of whom he cherished deeply.

A natural salesman with a magnetic personality, A.J. pursued a successful career with Alltel and AT&T, which took him to various locations across the Midwest. His sales career continued in varying industries with stops in Royse City, Texas, Fargo, North Dakota, and ultimately Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

In Sioux Falls, A.J. thrived in various sales positions, where he was known for his competitive spirit and infectious energy. He always made a point to enjoy life and the camaraderie of his colleagues, often turning work into an enjoyable challenge.

Throughout his adult life, A.J. never wavered in his love for the outdoors. Whether camping, hiking, or sharing his appreciation of nature with his family, he found peace in the beauty of the world around him. His enthusiasm for life was contagious, and he had a unique ability to make every moment feel special. Especially when he was using his photography skills to capture the moment.

A.J. was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, whose zest for life and adventurous spirit touched everyone he encountered. A.J. was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his daughters, parents, siblings, nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews, beloved dogs, and many friends who will miss him deeply.

A.J.'s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
