Betty Comer, 66, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, passed away suddenly on April 15th, 2025, at Avera McKennan Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Betty was born on August 27th, 1958, and graduated from Lincoln High School. She married Ivor Comer on July 1st, 1988.
Betty had a vibrant spirit and a heart full of joy. She loved thrifting, long chats on the phone, and was always the first to hit the dance floor. A devoted fan of Elvis, Betty Boop, and the Minnesota Vikings, her greatest happiness came from spending time with her loved ones—especially her grandchildren, who meant the world to her.
Betty was hard-working and deeply dedicated to everything she did. She was employed at Litton Industries from 1976 until its closure in 1993. She then worked at Sencore until 2014, and most recently with Ramkota, where she remained until her retirement in 2023.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Ivor Comer; her children, Shawn Lottman and Bobbie Lottman; and her beloved grandchildren: Tyler, Hailey, Emma, Kira, Colin, and Paige. She is also survived by her siblings: Elaine (Randy) Steineke, Edie (Chuck) Kopecky, Mary Thomas (Glen Elness), and Clinton Lottman; along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph (Joey) Comer; her parents, George Harland Fisher and Mary Ann Thomas; her sister, Evie Jean; brothers, Greg and George; and one cherished niece, Georgia Belle.
Following the visitation, everyone is invited to join the family at 900 N Wayland Ave. Sioux Falls.
