Bonnie Wohlwend

Bonnie Rose Wohlwend went to her heavenly home on December 15, 2018 at the age of 73.

Bonnie was born October 17, 1945 in Westhope, North Dakota to Sophie & Sigfred Hegdahl. Growing up, her time was spent in Westhope, North Dakota with her siblings, Jim, Ron, and little sister Debra

Bonnie then moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota to pursue school of hair. It is where she met her future husband and it is said she proposed to the love of her life on the floor of a little black Volkswagen bug!

Bonnie and Bruce were married on June 21, 1964 in Westhope, North Dakota.
In 1966 they welcomed their first child, Bruce Todd, followed by Brenda in 1968, Breahnna in 1978, and Brook in 1980.

Bonnie’s gift was to love and welcome everyone into their home and life. She had the most loving servant’s heart. Always ready to care for her husband, children and grandchildren. Always loving, always serving. Bonnie loved adventure. She and her Brucie Bear loved to travel together. Bonnie had the best sense of humor and she loved to laugh.

Bonnie had overcame so much in her life. She had such a fighting spirit and strong love for our God. He was with her every step of the way.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her mother, Sophie in 1998, her father Sigfred in 1990, and her brother Jim in 2016.
She is survived by her husband Bruce, son Bruce Todd Wohlwend (Dana), daughter Brenda Fiegen (Tad), daughter Breahnna Cleland (Nick), daughter Brook Rouillard (Duff); twenty grandchildren and one great-grandson; brother Ron Hegdahl (Judy) and sister Debra Wyman (John); several extended family members, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at The Ransom Church downtown at 700 North Main Ave on Tuesday, December 18th, 2018 at 3:00pm.
