Chuck is at peace now as he has transitioned to his new home with his personal Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, and joined his beloved Jody on October 13, 2023.
Charles “Chuck” Maynard Ley was born to Maynard “Butch” and Lorene Ley on January 4, 1951 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He called Sioux Falls home his entire life. He worked at Pfeifer Implement as their Parts Manager for 29 years.
He married his one and only love of his life, Jody (Solem) Ley on September 29, 1972. They were blessed with two children and two grandchildren.
Chuck’s life revolved around his family. He loved being outdoors in his spare time. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, making several trips to the Black Hills and Wisconsin with his buddies, and his bicycle. He loved to sing hymns in church, watch football and movies, and eat desserts.
Grateful for having shared his life is his Daughter Hope (Ley) Store; Son Dan Ley; Granddaughter Avery Store; Grandson Christian Store; former son-in-law Clinton Store; Brothers Dale (Sue) Pedersen and Larry (Cecilia) Ley; Sisters Janice (Dennis) Bovee, Susan (Duane) Hedlund and Nancy (Mike) Iverson; and many nieces and nephews. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother Lyle Pedersen.
He loved his many friends as well as his brothers and sisters in Christ and considered each to be a blessing.
Interment will follow the Celebration of Life Service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Sioux Falls.
