Edward G Lewis Died February 12th, 2025, at Dougherty Hospice House. He was born April 14, 1939, to Lloyd and Irene Lewis. In 1957, after completing High School, Ed enlisted in the US Marines for 8 years. After his time in the Marines, Ed pursued careers including construction sales and opening his own credit counseling company. Ed enjoyed riding bicycle, playing guitar, singing, and fishing with his son and 2 grandsons, Nathan and Joshua. Ed also enjoyed going to Sioux Falls Premier Playhouse to watch plays that his granddaughter, Brittney, made costumes for or the plays she produced. Ed was active in the choir at his church. For many years he would privately purchase the items needed to provide 50 full thanksgiving meals that would be distributed through different churches. 

Ed was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Irene, and daughter Theresa (Matson). Survived by his siblings Lloyd Jr. (Jane), Thomas (Vida), Donald, and his sister Linda. Children Tamara (Phil) Ptacek, Deborah (Brian) Stumpf, Edward II (Kari) Lewis, Angela (David), and a Bonus Daughter Bonnie (Layne) Bunger. 10 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 9 great- grandchildren.
