Jim Morrison

Jim was born on August 13, 1942 in Humboldt, South Dakota, the son of William and Margaret (Terrell) Morrison.  He grew up in Humboldt where he gained his high school education.

Jim married Shirley Domangue on August 7, 1966.  They lived together in Sioux Falls and raised two sons, Tony and Robert.  Jim worked for several area meat packaging companies throughout his life - Millmans, Spencers and Greeley for 15 years and then at John Morrell for 30 years to follow until he retired at the age of 75.

Jim was a man of few words. He loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed going to Chamberlain and Ft. Pierre to catch walleyes.  It seemed he always knew where the fish were biting and was always proud to share his catch with his friends and family.  Jim enjoyed going to Grand Falls Casino in Larchwood and playing the slot machines.  Jim will be a friend well missed.  

Jim is survived by his sons, Tony and Robert; a sister, Betty Morrison; and many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley; and three siblings, Janice Morrison, William Morrison, Jr. and Katherine Schartz.
