Jimmy Lee was born on February 25, 1954 in Aleandria, Louisiana to Don Taylor, Jr. and Mary (Rainey) Taylor. The family moved to Kansas City, MO when he was 6 years old. Jimmy attended school in Kansas.
He worked for Tyson Construction Company for about 10 years and then opened a thrift store that he operated for 3 years. Jimmy moved to Sioux Falls in 2004 where het met his girlfriend, Dixie Chandler, and her children, Logan and Emily.
Jimmy enjoyed the tv show, the Young and Restless, watching football and having a few beers and having coffee in the morning. He loved being with his siblings talking about the good old days, listening to music and barbeques with his favorite niece, Ulonda Schoolmeester, where he once lived and had big gatherings and laughs on the back deck. Jimmy loved all his nieces and nephews, cousins and family so much and was known to dress in style from head to toe.
Jimmy was baptized in the name of Jesus at the Restoration Church in Sioux Falls. He was a God fearing man of faith that took comfort in praising and worshipping the Lord.
He was 67 years old when he passed away on Sept. 6, 2021 at Ava's House in Sioux Falls.
He is survived by his siblings, Don Lee Taylor, Alfred Taylor. Irma Jackson, Susie Taylor, Earnestine McClendon and Gloria Bonwell; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jimmy will be welcomed in Heaven by his parents, Don and Mary; a brother, Billy Taylor and his aunts and uncles.
