Jody Ley

Jody is at much peace now as she has transitioned to her new home on July 25, 2023 with her personal Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.

Jody was born to Harris and Joyce (Corkin) Solem on November 16, 1952 in Clear Lake, South Dakota. By the time she was three, the family had moved to Sioux Falls, SD.She lived for five years on a farm near Parker, SD until her father's sudden death. Her mom and her then moved back to Sioux Falls where she lived the remainder of her days.

There she met her one and only love of her life, Chuck Ley. They were united in marriage on September 29, 1972. They were blessed with two children and two grandchildren. 

Grateful for having shared her life is her husband of 50 years, Chuck, Daughter Hope (Ley) Store, Son Dan Ley, Granddaughter  Avery Grace Store, Grandson Christian Store, and former son-in-law Clinton Store; brother Gary (Deb) Wilson (Monticello, IN), many brothers and sisters-in-laws and nieces and nephews. Jody was preceded in death by her parents.

She loved her many friends as well as her brothers and sisters in Christ and considered each to be a blessing.

Her family would like to thank the Avera Hospice team, Good Samaritan Village staff and Chaplain Mark for their wonderful care.

Interment will be held at a later date with a private ceremony.
