Judy Stricherz

Judy A Stricherz (Alexander) was 67 years old when she passed away from cancer on April 15, 2024 at Ava’s House (hospice) in Sioux Falls.

Judy was the 6th of nine children born to Robert K. and Betty (Gill) Alexander on September 5, 1956 in Sioux Falls. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1974. 

Judy married Paul Stricherz on October 15, 1976 in Sioux Falls and to this marriage a son, Brian, was born. She worked for Citibank until she became disabled. Judy’s sense of humor and big heart will be greatly missed by many.
 
Judy is survived by her son, Brian (Trisha Summers) Stricherz; three brothers, Michael (Jackie), David (Linda) and Dan (Pam); four sisters, Barb Keyman, Linda Alexander and Sue (David) Parker, all of Sioux Falls, and Jan Alexander of Mancos, CO; a sister-in-law, Marcia (Thomas) of WA; and “adopted” son, Chuck Stoner, who she thought the world of; and her three grandchildren, who she adored and loved spending time with – Natalee, Ronin and Dane; and many nieces, nephews and friends, Kary, Cindy and Mike, just to name a few.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law; her ex-husband, Paul, and even though they were divorced, they remained good friends. 

Brian and Judy’s family would like to thank Ava’s House and their staff for the kindness and gentle care provided to Judy.
