Leanne Rubin

Leanne T. (Brink, Mason) Rubin died peacefully in her sleep on January 25, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Leanne was born in Mitchell, SD to Donald and Patricia (Lynde) Brink on January 26, 1956. She grew up and attended school in Mitchell.

Leanne led an adventurous life, traveling to many countries and most of the United States with her first husband while he served in the military. She and her two children eventually settled in Sioux Falls where she was a dog groomer for many years. While living in Sioux Falls, Leanne reconnected with her former high school sweetheart, Bill Rubin. Bill and Leanne were married and resided in Sioux Falls until their passing.

During Leanne’s battle with cancer, she lived with one of her best friends, Autumn, who made her journey easier. Autumn provided more love and support than Leanne could have ever imagined and her family is forever grateful for her presence in Leanne’s life.

Leanne is survived by one daughter, Adina Bock; three grandchildren, one great grandchild; two sisters, Kathy Tietz (bill) and Ronda Bartscher (John Futrell); three brothers, Nick (Deb) Brink, Jerry (Lydia) Brink and Tony (Char) Brink; and a very devoted friend and caregiver, Autumn Christensen; many nieces, nephews and friends. She will be missed by many.

Leanne is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Anna Mason; and a brother, Don (Sharon) Brink.

A memorial fund has been established and cards and condolences may be sent to: Ronda Bartscher, 5509 W 50^th St., Sioux Falls, SD 57106. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
