Mary Joan Chipman, 56 of Baltic passed away at home on May 28th. Mary Jo was born on October 28th, 1966 to Dale and Joan Mullaney Johnson in Madison, South Dakota. She attended Madison High School and Stewart Beauty School.

Mary Jo had so many talents. She was an artist, a hair dresser, wonderful cake decorator, baker and manager. Mary Jo loved everyone, she always put their needs, wants and desires before her own. She loved her huge family and all her many, many friends. Mary Jo enjoyed family reunions, connecting with friends and family on Facebook,  concerts, camping, attending baseball games, going for long drives in the country, binge watching TV shows, eating good ice cream and traveling.

Mary Jo was a loving wife, step mother, sister, aunt and friend to countless people. Everyone that knew her, loved her. Her presence filled a room before she even entered and when she did, her smile lit it up like her nickname "Mary Sunshine"! Mary Jo will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Mary Jo is survived by her husband, Marc, step daughters Karen Warren (Dave), Jennifer Conley (Travis), Kacie Lawler (Tom) and nine grandchildren. Siblings Chuck Johnson (Mimi), Matt Johnson (Chris), Dan Johnson (Gail), Mark Johnson (Debbie), Patricia Johnson, Barb Galbraith (Tim), Michelle Johnson, Richard Johnson (Cindy), James Johnson (Angela), Paul Johnson, Michael Hope (Reina), Andy Johnson (Jessie) and scores of nieces and nephews.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca, father Dale and mother Joan.
