Melissa Cordell

Melissa was born November 11, 1975 in Watertown, SD, the daughter of Cliff Steuck and Gloria Hegge. She attended elementary school in Watertown then Whittier Middle School and Washington High School in Sioux Falls.

Melissa worked at the Burnside Casino for a while. She worked for several years as the manager at the Dollar Tree Store.

She loved animals and going the the zoo and was very excited when she could see white Tigers. She attended attended a number of Def Leppard concerts with her family. Melissa also enjoyed movies, especially animated Winnie the Pooh movies with Eyeore.

Melissa passed away at Ava's House in Sioux Falls on August 27, 2023.

She is survived by her daughter, Kaniesha Cordell; her siblings, Carrie Cordell, Neil (Misty) Cordell, Keith (Angie) Cordell and Kelsey Cordell; her father, Cliff Steuck; and her boyfriend, Brandon Harris. She is preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother.
