Michele Ludewig

Michele Ludewig, age 74, earned her wings on February 10, 2022. Michele was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on September 2, 1947. She grew up in Fulda, MN and graduated from Fulda High School in 1965.

Michele spent most of her professional career driving commercial semi-trucks for Action Carrier, Old Home Bakery, and Saia.  Michele then opened Sweet Things by Micki, winning awards for her wedding and special event cakes.

Michele loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, baking, and fishing. She was an active participant in the social event calendar at her senior apartment building and was loved by many.

She is preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Elizabeth and Herb Baumgard, and her grandparents, Margaret and Joseph Weinzetl.

She will be greatly missed by her children Tom (Dee) Ludewig, Angela (Loel) Wheeler, Brett Ludewig, Veronica (Kenny) Jorgensen, Erin (Shane) Ludewig-Craig; her grandchildren Joseph, Arianna, Noah, Ashley, Brandon, Elizabeth, Ciara, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Alex, Kylee, and Amara; and her great-grandchildren. Also grateful to have shared her life are her siblings and their children, Julie and Elray Blau (Jennifer and Lacy) Lana and Steve Lau (Cody and Morgan), and Brian Baumgard (Gage and Tanner).

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am on May 14th, 2022, at the Hills of Rest Mausoleum in Sioux Falls, SD.
