Nancy Jean Reid, 72, died at The Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on November 12, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer. She is now rejoicing after reuniting with Lee.

These words cannot possibly sum up the life of such a beautiful person, but provide a glimpse into her blessed time here on earth.

Nancy was born to John and Phyllis Tinkey on July 3rd, 1950 on a farm outside of Brookings, South Dakota. Nancy grew up in Brookings with her parents and siblings Joe, Pam, and Loni. They then moved to Long Beach, California where she met the love of her life, Lee Reid. They married when Nancy was 16 on July 27, 1966. They raised their children together in McCord Bend Village, Missouri before returning to Brookings, South Dakota to help with Nancy’s parents.

Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Her greatest love was get-togethers with the family for special events and holidays. She loved to spend time with her grandkids and wouldn’t pass up an opportunity to be there for them.
