Robert Herron

Robert was born on February 8, 1960 at Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Russell and Dorothy (Goodlin) Herron. He grew in Monmouth and graduated from Yorkwood High School. In high school, Bob enjoyed being in the band and played the tuba.

Bob served in the military. After his time in the service, he worked at the Rapid City Journal for several years. He was a Chicago Bears fan and a cold Pepsi was his favorite beverage.

Bob is survived by his three children, Andrew Herron, Robbie “Bobbie” Herron and Rachael Washington; his siblings, Frances Curl, Cindy Sanderson, Diana Shaw, Cynthia Herron, Helen Herron and Russell Herron; and 10 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell Miller Herron, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Goodlin; two children, Russell and Amanda; and a brother, Terry Herron.

Private family services were held.
