Scott Buck

Scott Allen Buck, age 51,  was born February 19, 1972 to Leslie J. Buck and Esther (Heupel) Buck in Bismarck, ND. He grew up in Bismarck and was proud of his German from Russia heritage. He graduated from Bismarck High School  in 1990.

He moved to Sioux Falls around 1993 and worked various jobs in the area. For the past 20 plus years, he was employed at KW Manufacturing. His supervisor said he was one of the best, solid workers, doing welding and assembly work. He also was in charge of shipping and receiving.

Scott loved his family and  enjoyed traveling around the United States. A trip snowmobiling with his co-workers was one of his favorites. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan. He was also into fitness, working out with his barbells, weight bench and boxing Fitven. Friends stated he looked so muscular and fit.

Scott passed away on January 11, 2024 at 3:00 am at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls after a year long battle with lung and brain cancer.

He is survived by his mother, Esther Buck of Bismarck, ND; two siblings, Rick Buck and Sara Jorgensen, both of Sioux Falls; two nieces, Angelia Jorgensen of Sioux Falls and Faith (Alex) Yanez of Dakota Dunes, SD; and a great nephew, Charles Devney, of Farmington, MN. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Leslie J. Buck in 2011.
