Thomas Rycerz

Tom was born on April 3, 1951 in Hammond, Indiana, the son of Frank and Irene (Wosniak) Rycerz. HE graduated from high school and worked at a steel mill for a few years. He then joined Boilmakers Union 374 and became a welder. Tom married Patti Turnipseed in Indiana on June 24, 1978. He retired after 30 years of work as a union welder.

Tom and Patti traveled to the Black Hills on vacation and stayed in Sioux Falls on their trip. They liked Sioux Falls so well they decided to make it their permanent home in 2011.

Tom passed away on October 4, 2022 at Ava's House in Sioux Falls.

He is survived by his wife, Patti; a brother-in-law, sister-in-law and a nephew.
